Challenge

Studio SunUp is a B2B creative agency known for producing bold, high-quality work. They needed a marketing website that reflected that same level of craft and creativity.

Their existing site was built on Webflow, but the team had hit its limitations. They wanted more control, flexibility, and the ability to evolve their site as their work and capabilities grew. My goal was to help them move beyond those constraints and build a custom, high-performance platform that truly represented their brand.

Solution

Working from Figma designs provided by the SunUp team, I developed the new site using custom Gutenberg blocks within WordPress. I drew on our growing library of reusable components while also creating new ones to give the SunUp team the flexibility they needed to manage and expand their content effortlessly.

To bring the site to life, I introduced smooth scroll-based animations, sutble dynamic background animations, and smooth icon interactions — enough movement to add energy and polish, without overshadowing the studio’s striking imagery and clean design language. The result was a site that felt both dynamic and refined, letting the work take center stage.

Seamless page transitions

One of my favorite challenges in this project was creating a truly seamless browsing experience for users exploring SunUp’s showcase.

I implemented a transition system that preloaded the next case study in the background while the user was still viewing the current one. This meant that when they scrolled or navigated forward, the next project appeared instantly. No load times, no interruptions, just a smooth, continuous flow through the agency’s portfolio.

This small detail made a big difference in how the site felt: fluid, responsive, and thoughtfully crafted, just like SunUp’s own creative work.

Results

The new Studio SunUp website gave the team the creative and technical freedom they’d been missing.

Faster performance and editing flexibility: The custom Gutenberg setup empowered their team to easily build new pages and adapt layouts without developer input.

A premium user experience: Smooth transitions and animations elevated the perception of the brand and kept visitors engaged longer.

A website that matches their craft: The final result is a fast, flexible, and beautifully interactive showcase worthy of the quality of SunUp’s work.
